The mobile processor market is set to reach 4 billion units by 2014, market research firm In-Stat reported October 26, 2010.
Mobile device growth, said the firm, is reshaping the high-tech industry.

"Feature phones are going away," Mark Andreessen, of Andreessen Horowitz told the Financial Times. "We think we're heading into a world where there will be 4 billion smartphones."
"Within five years, all phones in the U.S. will be Smartphones," according to Frost & Sullivan. "During the recession the growth in smartphones was amazing."
